video 21 Nov

A quick shout-out and little hometown love for Fleet Foxes and Sean Pecknold.

I’ve been waiting for this video to debut in-full since Pecknold posted a quick preview on his Vimeo profile, and one long month later, here it is. I’ve got to say, it’s worth the wait.

The timing is also a little funny, because Fleet Foxes is playing in Z├╝rich tonight, but with the price of entry and train tickets from Basel, it would be outrageous to go… even considering how much I love this band.

photo 16 Nov Herzlich Willkommen in der Schweiz, Spotify! Endlich.

After a long, long, long wait (at least for me) Spotify launched today in Switzerland. Finally my friends can see what I’m listening to while they’re on Facebook! Just kidding.

Seriously, though, this is great, because it’s not only a bridge to my friends back in the States; it’s also a way to get a quick overview of what is being listened to here… at least it will be. At this point, the popular artists for the world and Switzerland are pretty closely related, but I decided to take a screen cap to track this. Let’s check back later and see how things have changed.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why I took a shot of the top 15 (a seemingly logical, yet arbitrary, number), I’m particularly interested in where Stress (currently #14) ends up on the Swiss side of this list in about a week’s time.
